What this is
Israeli combat soldiers deployed to active conflict zones routinely go without adequate field equipment. The IDF provides baseline gear, but after two and a half years of continuous war much of it is worn out or was never good enough: helmets that shift and block eyesight in combat, tank jumpsuits that are decades-old designs and not fully fire-resistant, vests that tear at the seams after a single rotation. When my own team was called up, we raised money for better helmets ourselves.
This project runs delivery cycles on a rolling basis: identify a deployed unit with verified gaps, assess needs directly with the soldiers, fund the cycle in full before procurement, buy locally in Israel, hand-deliver, and report back with documentation and full reconciliation. No weapons, no controlled equipment, no advocacy. Equipment only.

Cycle 1 · Closed, fully delivered
In March 2026, a 30-soldier reserve tank unit deployed in Gaza was short fire-resistant uniforms and basic field equipment. A crowdfunding campaign raised $26,387 from 85 donors. The first uniforms were on the unit five days after I received their needs list, and the last item was delivered three weeks after the idea existed.

Cycle 2 · Fully scoped, seeking funding
A whole platoon of 40 to 60 soldiers, short 60 fire-resistant uniforms and 40 tactical vests plus supporting operational gear, from the platoon's verified shortage list. Cycle 1's surplus is already committed to this cycle. The final itemized budget is confirmed with the donor at commitment, and the cycle is fully funded before procurement begins.
